Everyone Has a Story – Songwriting Workshop in Fort McMurray with John Wort Hannam

"Everyone Has A Story” is a songwriting workshop designed for Albertans of all backgrounds and skill levels. This project will guide participants through the creative process of songwriting—from idea generation to final composition. (It is important to note that participants do not need to play an instrument or sing - this workshops focuses on song lyrics.)
Participants will work to create a song based on a personal story or experience. When we tell and listen to each other’s stories, we connect, and connection builds bonds. If we understand our neighbours—particularly if our communities are culturally, politically and/or religiously diverse—we can develop empathy and compassion for our fellow Albertans. With these powerful emotions, we can attain stronger communities and more joyful lives.
