Their interdisciplinary background informs a sustained interest in the intersections of art, community, and social discourse, with a focus on projects that invite reflection, spark dialogue, and foster thoughtful relationships between people and ideas.
Local collaborations include work with the Alberta Foundation for the Arts’ Travelling Exhibition Program (TREX), the City of Airdrie, the City of Calgary, Illingworth Kerr Gallery, and the Kiyooka Ohe Arts Centre. Ash has programmed AFA TREX exhibitions for the Alberta Society of Artists for almost six years until 2025. In addition, Ash was a former AFA Emerging Curator and they created the online exhibition, Absence inhabited, from the AFA Art Collection.
To commemorate the latest exhibition at the AFA art house in Calgary, Ash will be leading an After Hours artist talk on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 5 pm to discuss the Montageries exhibition as the curator.
The AFA art house is located on the 2nd floor of The Edison (150 9 Ave) in downtown Calgary and is always free to the public to enjoy. We’d love to see you there!
