Wavelength is an immersive performance bringing together contemporary dance, live rock music, and art installation in an unconventional performance environment at the Lougheed Building, located directly beside The GRAND Theatre.

Five contemporary dancers and a four-piece live band come together in the same space, creating a visceral collision of movement, sound, and art. Part concert, part contemporary dance, Wavelength explores pulse, euphoria, trance, and the energy created when audiences and performers share the same environment.

Choreographed by Meghann Michalsky, Wavelength features original music by Will Scott Band and installation art by Patricia Gascon.

“This work is really about the meeting point between dance and live music — and what happens when you truly merge those art forms rather than simply placing them side-by-side. I’m interested in the intersection between the way audiences experience live music and the way they experience dance, and how bringing those two environments together can transform the work itself.” - Meghann Michalsky (producer, choreographer, performer)
