Calgary Culture Days returns this September with a full month of creativity, connection and community!
Applications close soon for the Calgary Culture Days Microgrant, supporting community-led experiences that activate the greater downtown. The microgrant offers up to $5,000 to deliver free or low-cost arts and culture programming between September 1 – 30, 2026.
Possible initiatives include:
- Interactive art installations and workshops
- Art walks and exhibitions
- Pop-up concerts and performances
- Festivals, cultural film screenings, backstage tours and more
New this year: Initiatives must encourage creative exchange by bringing artists, communities and cultural groups together through new collaborations
You can create a new initiative, expand an existing event, or try something totally unexpected! The goal is to activate the greater downtown with moments to discover, experience and celebrate Calgary’s arts, culture, heritage, diversity and community spirit.
