Indigenous arts

Viewpoint Gallery offers local artists and curators of  all backgrounds the chance to exhibit original work. Run by City of Red Deer and located at 5205 48 Avenue in downtown Red Deer, it features 875 sq. ft.  of exhibit space and 80 linear feet for hanging, with solo and group shows running 2–3 months. Proposals are adjudicated by community and City art experts. The gallery offers visitors opportunities to engage with artists and their work through monthly First Friday receptions and Artist Talks.

Arts Council Wood Buffalo, in partnership with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), invites artists and creative entrepreneurs to a two-part interactive webinar focused on the financial and tax side of running a creative practice.

Part of ACWB’s Business of the Arts program, this series offers practical, easy-to-understand guidance tailored to artists. You will gain tools and insights to manage your finances with more confidence and less stress. Whether you are just starting out or looking to improve your current systems, this webinar is designed to support your creative work.

Our instructors teach a variety of group programs at various Recreation Centres in the City including the City Arts Centre. Hop on the Artbus and discover the creative side of downtown! ArtBus is a free, all-ages, one-day event that takes riders across downtown Edmonton to galleries and artist-run centres via special ETS buses. On Saturday, March 21st, hop on at any designated Art Stop across downtown Edmonton to experience art, get creative with hands-on activities, and shop local. These free ArtBuses will run in a continuous loop between 9 participating galleries for an easy way to connect people and art downtown.
