Baker Miller Pink presents The Painter and the Lake at Vertigo Theatre

Baker Miller Pink presents “The Painter and The Lake”, a brand-new Canadian multidisciplinary show by Cayley Wreggitt and Samantha Ketsa. Peter, a down-on-his-luck painter, has hit a rut. In search of a muse, he traverses the Kananaskis backcountry until he discovers Lillian, a pristine mountain lake. But something sinister lurks beneath her surface, unearthing ghosts from Peter's past and challenging his relationship to art as a passion and a profession. “The Painter and The Lake” is presented by Baker Miller Pink as a Resident Company of Vertigo Theatre.

Shumka: Back to Our Roots

Shumka: Back to Our Roots  is a vibrant, high-energy performance that celebrates Ukrainian dance by returning to what matters most: movement, music, and regional tradition. Drawing from Shumka’s rich performance history, the program features dances from across Ukraine that reveal how geography, history, and community shape rhythm, style, and physical expression, from grounded village steps to virtuosic ensemble work.

Two Artists. Two Friends. Two Explorations of Ourselves.

Two Artists. Two Friends. Two Explorations of Ourselves.

Beth Graham and Brian Webb

These two friends who first met and hit it off serving on a dance jury, then became intimate buddies are sharing the stage! Each will explore in their own way: JUST WHO I AM TODAY! Two monologues told in dancing (OK! moving?) and speaking will reveal truths that may shock you, move you,  and even entertain you! Gentle provocation may turn out to be a big surprise!
