Alberta filmmakers take centre stage at the Edmonton Short Film Festival’s (ESFF) signature Red Carpet Gala.
Join us for an evening dedicated to short films created by filmmakers from across the province. From emerging voices to established creatives, the Gala showcases the talent, range and originality of Alberta’s independent film community.
And it’s more than a screening. Walk the red carpet, meet filmmakers and industry professionals, make new connections and celebrate Alberta film on the big screen in downtown Edmonton.

On October 18, ESFF expands the screen beyond Alberta with Long Shorts, featuring Canadian and international films from filmmakers around the world.
With films up to 30 minutes in length, Long Shorts gives filmmakers more room to explore characters, ideas and stories while still delivering the creativity and impact of short-form cinema.
Discover films you may not otherwise have the chance to see, from Canadian voices to international perspectives and filmmaking styles from across the globe.
