2026 Emerging Artist Awards Apply Now

Alberta emerging artists of all arts disciplines in the early stages of their professional careers can apply for the 2026 Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Emerging Artist Award until February 18, 2026.
Emerging Artists have mastered the techniques of their art form through education and/or apprenticeship and are in the early years of launching a professional career. They created and publicly presented a modest body of independent work. The award consists of a $10,000 prize, a professionally developed video profile of the artist, and presentation of the award by the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta.
