Friday Nite Live - Rose Coloured Boys

We are The Rose Coloured Boys the embodiment of blind optimism. We choose to see the beauty in life, no matter the challenges, always turning our eyes toward the light even when the shadows grow long. In a world of chaos and imperfection, we hold on to the belief that everything can still turn out beautifully, even if it feels distorted or flawed. Our music is a reflection of that hope a reminder that there’s always something worth cherishing, and always a reason to keep believing.

Friday Nite Live - Marissa K

Marissa K is a vibrant, imaginative singer-songwriter based in Edmonton, Alberta. As a fan of escapism, Marissa strives to transport her listeners through her songs into a unique, colourful world. She focuses her songwriting on storytelling, as her inspiration comes from her background in performing in dance and theatre. Her music evokes the vitality and nostalgia of songwriters such as Vanessa Carlton and Sara Bareilles, but has a distinctive, theatrical writing style that is all her own.

Date and Time:
November 21, 2025, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Friday Nite Live - Drifting Tunes

Clare McNaul and Blain Bovee first met in a Deadwood saloon and quickly discovered their shared love of song. Now performing as Drifting Tunes, they’ve spent decades creating a warm, inviting blend of Folk, Roots, Americana, and Country. Clare’s rich, earthy vocals pair beautifully with Blain’s tender harmonies and guitar, bringing to life songs inspired by their travels, experiences, and the people they’ve met along the way.

Space Survey for Live/Performing Arts Organizations in Calgary

BuckingJam Palace (BJP) Music Foundation is currently exploring what a purpose-built or renovated venue for small to mid-sized live/performing arts organizations might look like in Calgary. If you are a musician, collective, or small to mid-sized organization looking for space to create, produce, and present your work - we invite you to connect with us by filling out this survey

Since 2014, BJP has been hosting local, national, and international jazz artists in our historic home in Mount Royal where musicians spend time collaborating, recording, and performing for our small audiences of 50. More recently, we have also been hosting concerts at external venues within Calgary to meet the demand of our touring artists and growing audiences.

We know that we are outgrowing our house concerts, but we still want to maintain the spirit of our house concerts and offer space for our musicians to not only perform; but also to create, record, and collaborate with each other. As such, we are looking for alternative venues and what it might look like to collaborate with other artists, collectives, and small to mid-sized organizations.

We have prepared a survey to start the conversation and to have a better understanding of your needs. The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete and we ask you to fill it out by October 31, 2025.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Aimee-Jo Benoit, Executive Director at BJP Music Foundation at ed@buckingjampalace.com
