We are very excited to be hosting our annual 48hr Mobile Device Filmmaking Challenge. This year the event takes place from 6pm Friday May 23 to 6pm Sunday May 25.

This event is open to all Alberta Residents. You must pre-register to have 3 secret elements emailed to you at the start of the challenge - will be emailed at 6pm on Friday May 23. The three elements must be included in your film. All films must be recorded on a mobile device. Editing can be done on a computer.

Deadline to apply is May 9th, 2025

GWDC’s Space Share Program provides free rehearsal space and mentorship to performance-based artists and collectives. Space Share artists will engage in some form of community outreach during their time at the Shumka Dance Centre, so watch out for updates on possible showings, workshops and blog posts from this fantastic group of artists!

wave of Pan-Asian filmmakers.

The Thousand Faces Festival Association welcomes  artists and groups from all disciplines to submit proposals for inclusion of their mythically-inspired performances, films, and visual works at the 2025 Thousand Faces Festival.

The Clifford E. Lee Choreography Award recognizes outstanding emerging Canadian dance choreographers or companies, celebrating new voices, ideas, and approaches to professional dance. Established in 1978 by the Clifford E. Lee Foundation, the award supports the creation and development of innovative choreographic work.

Sage Theatre is excited for you to apply to the IGNITE! Festival!

The festival takes place June 4 - 7 2025 in the Pumphouse Theatres. Projects occupy both the Victor Mitchell and Joyce Doolittle Theatres.

For nearly 20 years, the IGNITE! Festival of Emerging Artists has put a focus on helping develop Calgary’s rising talent by presenting their work to the public and connecting them to a network of established industry professionals.

The Town of Sylvan Lake is hosting its third Art Show & Sale, and is open for artist submissions! The Art Show & Sale features Albertan artists who specialize in painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics, textiles, photography, sculpture and more. Taking place during Sylvan's 1913 Days festival (which draws in tens of thousands of visitors to the town), it's an opportunity for artists to show their work to new audiences, make connections and sell their art.
