The Arts Impact Alberta 2025 report reveals that between 2018 and 2024, AFA-funded organizations generated an estimated $2.4 billion in total economic output. The arts put Albertans to work and generate significant economic returns on investment.

Public funding for the arts provides a return on investment. Through "Art-onomics," every $1 invested by the Alberta Foundation for the Arts generates a direct economic return of $1.76. Investing in the arts means investing in Alberta’s financial future.

The arts put Albertans to work. Each year, Alberta Foundation for the Arts  funding supports an average of 930 full-time jobs and 3,300 part-time jobs across the province. The arts sector provides real, sustainable employment opportunities.
