Request for Qualifications: 103A Avenue Pedway Public Art Project

The Edmonton Arts Council (EAC), on behalf of the City of Edmonton, is seeking a local or national artist/artist team to create an artwork to be installed in a new pedway running under 103A Avenue at 99 Street in downtown Edmonton. Emerging artists, Indigenous artists and artists from equity-seeking backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

The selected artist is responsible for all aspects of designing and installing their artwork. Mediums must be 2D or low relief such as murals or mosaics. Installation locations can include but are not limited to, the corridor walls, or the acoustic panels on the ceiling.

The selected artist or artist team may conduct research and engage with the surrounding community when developing concepts for the 103A Avenue Pedway Public Art Project. If it is relevant to your process, you may include your preliminary ideas for research and engagement in your submission.
