The new work by composer Michalis Andronikou for trombone and harp, entitled In Memoriam Theodore Antoniou, was recorded with inspirational performers Achilles Liarmakopoulos (trombone – member of the Canadian Brass) and Coline-Marie Orliac (harp soloist). The conjuncture of Andronikou’s communication with Liarmakopoulos for a possible collaboration on the day of Theodore Antoniou’s passing (who was a composition teacher for Andronikou) was decisive for the creation and recording of the work. The work is a spontaneous and dreamy gesture of appreciation and remembrance of the late Theodore Antoniou, and is dedicated to Achilles Liarmakopoulos and Coline-Marie Orliac, who interpreted it with so much love and artistry. The piece is released on all streaming service platforms.
