Brunch en Plein Air: June 15, 2018

Date: May 9, 2018

Alberta Heritage  Art Series Painter, Gregg Johnson and Alberta Writing Series Poet, Lori Feldberg join their creative forces to inspire new ideas, new interpretations and new work.

En plein air is French for outdoors.Plein air painting is the act of painting outdoors, a method that contrasts with studio painting or academic rules that might create a predetermined look.Plein air writing is another way of referring to writing outdoors, which is something Battle River Writers have done and frequently do. In fact, we’ve even taken it on ourselves to write outdoors in every season: spring, summer, fall and winter.

On June 15th, we will have the pleasure of seeing some of Mr. Johnson’s previous painting. Listening applies as we hear what he has to say about creative work and write our own responses.
