Culture Days @ ACAD

Date: Sep 10, 2018

Since 1926, The Alberta College of Art + Design (ACAD) has made significant contributions to Canada’s historical and contemporary visual culture, growing into an international community hub for creatives.

During Culture Days @ ACAD, visitors can immerse themselves in a major retrospective exhibition opening at the Illingworth Kerr Gallery and view a selection of ceramic work from participants of the 1000 Miles Apart Conference, in addition to attending associated artist talks, workshops and demonstrations. Alberta Culture Days is September 28 - 30, 2018.

ACAD’s Indigenous resource space, The Lodgepole Center, will feature traditional smudges and food samplings and will showcase drum performances and making demonstrations.

The School of Continuing Education will be hosting hands-on, family-friendly workshops that include take-home Origami and bracelet making.

ACAD is thrilled to be named the Feature Celebration Site for the Calgary Region and looks forward to expanding its community with Culture Days @ ACAD.
