Okotoks Culture seeks proposals from artists to create temporary public art installations in the forgotten nooks and crannies in downtown Okotoks, Alberta for our 2nd annual edition of Nooks and Crannies art festival.
Nooks & Crannies brings in artists who create temporary site-specific installations that animate the forgotten nooks and crannies of downtown Okotoks. Individual artists and/or teams must use recycled products to create installations that raise environmental awareness, animate spaces, and entertain audiences. Environmental awareness and sustainability are key themes in this festival, and the materials used in all installations will be recyclable items from the Okotoks Eco Centre or provided by the artist.
This year, presented alongside Buskersfest, the 2nd annual Nooks & Crannies Festival opens June 27, 2020 with art installations available for viewing through to the Taste of Okotoks, which happens on July 18, 2020.
