Liminal Space

The Alberta Society of Artists is pleased to present the group exhibition “Liminal Space” featuring the work of the Uncommon Art Collective: Dixie Baum, Christiane Haberl, Lindsay Nichols, Sheila Rowe and Patricia Salat. “The Uncommon Art Collective is a group of 5 Calgary area artists dedicated to expressing personal truth through their work. They are not bound by representational ideas but are rather inspired by them. In their work, they seek to first feel and then transmit ‘liminal space’ – the ‘already but not yet’ that speaks to the world of emotion, soul and mystery.” The exhibition runs March 5 - May 12, 2026, at the ASA Art Gallery, #222, 1235 – 26 Ave. SE, Calgary, Alberta. Gallery hours are Wednesday – Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and parking is free. There will be a reception and artist talks on Saturday, March 7, 1-4 pm. This event is free and open to the public. There will also be two workshops first on Saturday, March 28th and second on May 2nd. For more information, go to https://www.albertasocietyofartists.com/liminal_space/ email coordinator@albertasocietyofartists.com, or call the Gallery at 403-265-0012. The Alberta Society of Artists is the oldest society of juried professional artists in the province, providing art education and exhibitions in public venues since 1931. The Society’s goal is to increase public awareness and appreciation of the visual arts in Alberta.
