The Work of the Week for April 9 - 16, 2008 is Rainbow Bear by Terry McCue.
Terry is an Ojibway artist originally from the Curve Lake First Nation in southeastern Ontario. He moved to Alberta in 1976 and continues to call our province home.

Humanity is an integral part of creation. Humor is spiritual sustenance. Respect for the natural world. And our place in it, is the key to personal understanding. We are magical beings in a magical world.
This work is currently displayed in the Alberta Legislature building in the Office of the Premier through the AFA art placement program.
