Did you know: if there wasn’t an extra day every four years, the seasons would drift on the calendar? Eventually, the first day of spring would be in December!
About the Artist: Robert Spaith
Robert Spaith studied art at the University of Calgary, receiving a B.F.A. in Painting in 1976. In 1984, Spaith became a member of the Alberta Society of Artists. As well, in that same year, he was awarded the Best Bronze and the Best of the Show for the Stockman's Foundation Art Show and Sale.
He has exhibited at Canadian Art Galleries, Calgary, Leighton Foundation Show and Sale, Millarville, Alberta, Masters Gallery, Calgary, and many others. His work can be found in the collections of Amoco Canada Petroleum Company, the City of Calgary, the personal collection of Ted Harrison, Swiss Bank Corporation, Switzerland, the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, and numerous private and corporate collections.
