Traces: The Many Colours of Medieval Song

Date: Jan 3, 2018

In the Middle Ages, music and song permeated every aspect of life and culture, from sublime religious expression to earthy entertainment. Using the traces of information found in medieval songs and theoretical writings as well as contemporary singing traditions, this concert seeks to restore the human expression, life and colour to songs of the distant past. The concert presents special guest soprano Katherine Hill.

The concert will take place at 8:00 PM on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Christ Church Elbow Park (3602 – 8 Street SW, Calgary). The pre-concert talk will take place at 7:30 p.m.
