SpotlightYEG is an event brought to you by the City of Edmonton Youth Council's Health and Wellness Committee, exhibiting art pieces to promote mental health and/or stigma reduction. It is happening, Friday, May 11th, from 6pm-8pm at Edmonton City Hall in the main City Room.

The goal of the event is to collectively bring people together to see that they are not alone. We are currently in the process of looking for local youth artists (aged 13-23) to showcase their art form and would like people to sign up as soon as possible.

This can be through musical performances, poetry readings, visual arts, films, photography, dramatic arts, creative writing, all made by local youth artists, any form of artistic expression, to inspire those dealing with similar issues.

Stations on how to use forms of art as coping mechanisms will also be featured. We ask that artists participating in the event bring at least one guest with them who have helped them on their mental health journey.

Artists interested in sharing their art with us can sign up to participate in the event by filling out our Google Forms:
