In Perspective - Maria Antoniv & Peter Gegolick

Date: Jan 20, 2018

ACUA presents a collection of works by Maria Antoniv and Peter Gegolick in a joint show exhibiting perspective of the world around us.
Peter is a self-taught artist from St. Albert, Alberta, Canada. Painting and creating is his escape from the world and is a means to explore his emotional and creative limits. The various elements seen in his work represent the years of experimentation and determination to learn and better understand his environment.
Maria was born in Ukraine and spent much of her childhood in the picturesque surroundings of her town of Buchach. Her fondness for nature became the catalyst for her art. She attended Art College in the Chernivtci region, followed by Carpathian National University as a visual arts teacher. After moving to Canada, Maria graduated from the International Academy of Design and Technology in Toronto, and pursued an animation career. Having worked on films such as Gladiator and Babe: Pig in the City, she decided to devote more time to her passion for painting.
Opening Reception: Friday, February 2 at 6:30pm.
Exhibition runs Feb. 2-22. Artwork is for sale.
