Alberta's Distinguished & Emerging Artists celebrations June 10 & 11 2022

Join the celebrations in Lac La Biche June 10 & 11 2022 as the community hosts the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta 2021 Distinguished Artist and 2022 Emerging Artist Awards. Visual artist Faye HeavyShield (Blood Reserve, Kainaiwa Nation, AB), writer and filmmaker Cheryl Foggo (Calgary, AB), and dance choreographer Vicki Adams Willis (Calgary, AB), will be awarded the 2021 Distinguished Artist Award on June 11. Eleven outstanding 2022 Emerging Artists will be awarded their prize on June 10 by Her Honour Salma Lakhani. Alberta’s artists contribute immeasurably to our province – let’s honour and celebrate them together!
