Rocks and Fields

The Alberta Society of Artists is pleased to present “Rocks and Fields”, a solo exhibition by Karen McCallum. "Transformation invites viewers to pause and reconnect with the power of an ever-changing land. This series of paintings celebrates Alberta's landscape, from its vast prairies to the rugged Rocky Mountains of Canmore and Banff. Through layered brushstrokes and luminous colour, I seek to capture not only the land's physical presence but its emotional and spiritual essence, quiet awe, belonging, and the passage of time." This exhibition will be on display from February 4- 14, 2026 at the Walterdale Theatre, 10322 83 Ave. NW, Edmonton Alberta. There will be a public opening reception on Tuesday, February 3rd, 6:30 pm-7:30 pm followed by a free preview of Walterdale's production of “This is War” by Hannah Moscovitch. The exhibition is free and open to the public when the theatre is open. The Society’s goal is to increase public awareness and appreciation of the visual arts in Alberta.
