The board of directors of Alberta Playwrights' Network is seeking a new Executive Director. Responsible for the financial management, programming, and oversight of the operations, the ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for the arts, an experienced administrator, and a relationship-builder.
Starting salary - $45,000 to $50,000/year
Qualifications
- Knowledge of and passion for Canadian theatre with a creative spirit.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- A self-motivated and pragmatic attitude with a passion for creative expression.
- Experience in fundraising, budgeting, and/ or grant writing is an asset.
- Previous experience as a playwright or in play development is considered a strong asset.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in the arts or nonprofit sector is also an asset.
