Economic Impact of the Arts
In 2004, the Alberta Foundation for the Arts and the then Ministry of Community Development commissioned Econometric Research Limited to prepare an independent analysis of the importance of the Arts Sector to the Alberta economy.
This report quantifies the economic impacts of specific arts activities in the province. While the importance of the intellectual and cultural contributions made by the arts sector cannot be measured in terms of economics alone, this study illustrates a valuable part of the impact of the arts in Alberta.
