The Arts in Alberta
Albertans are celebrating life through the arts around the province as artists, arts lovers, arts educators, and arts supporters.
The AFA collects, preserves and displays visual art through its art collection and supports opportunities to view the arts throughout the province through support to travelling exhibitions.
The AFA aims to connect Alberta’s diverse arts communities with the AFA Newswire, an electronic newsletter offering news submitted by arts stakeholders about arts opportunities and events throughout the province.
Alberta Arts Days is the annual celebration of our culture, heritage, artistic diversity and provincial pride. All communities, governments, organizations, schools, libraries, media outlets, cultural and recreation facilities, and individual Albertans are encouraged to join the celebration!
Want to create, learn or interact? Visit the Alberta Culture Calendar for your guide to cultural events in Alberta.
We also offer the Maps of Alberta, illustrating where AFA funding was received throughout the province.
Finally, we also track trends by keeping statistics on our grants and doing larger research projects such as the Economic Impact of the Arts in Alberta.
